Albums
Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums and 4 live albums. There are also compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto, band members did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggsalbum in 1975 Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.
Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen left, and the band held auditions to find a replacement frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band. The band went through old recordings and tapes to create the unique record. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto embarked on the tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem von Schröck took over Leland Sklar as the drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the band.

At the end of the tour, the band decided to let him go and hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams to take his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the group after the tour. Leland Sklar took over his place.

The museum's exhibits include toilets, faucets, as well tableware that have contributed to the expansion of TOTO in the past half century. The album, released on November 6, 2018 included three brand new tracks from their forthcoming album 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as completed recordings of four tracks from the past with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also included an original cover version of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band added after hearing it on the radio.
